Episode 44. Finding Calm in the Chaos with Jamie Spannhake

Jamie Spannhake is here to help you manage your mind and your time to be able to do what you truly value. It is possible to calm the chaos as a lawyer mom. Sound too good to be true? Listen in for some actionable strategies, in addition to examples from Jamie's life about how she has built the life she truly wanted. She is an example of what is possible.

Jamie is a law firm partner at a small firm, a sought-after speaker, author of The Lawyer, the Lion, & the Laundry, mom to an amazing 10-year-old daughter, and a work-life integration coach who does individual and group coaching.

In this Episode, we talk about Jamie's journey from putting in long hours at BigLaw to going part-time, and how partners questioned her loyalty and dedication to her job. That was not the life she wanted. Jamie opened her own firm and ultimately joined the small firm she is at now, where she works part-time as a partner. Part of the internal work she did on this journey involved identifying her core values and managing her mind, which Jamie explains is the work that helps you to manage your time effectively.

If you want to learn more from Jamie, she will be one of the guest coaches in the upcoming Mom Life and Law Leadership Forum!
